Lakers Sign Metta World Peace to One-Year Deal

According to Yahoo Sports, his deal with the Lakers is one-year and nonguaranteed. “To watch those two guys practice, it’s nearly comical”, Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak said. He won a championship ring with the Lakers in 2010 when he was still known as Ron Artest.

Aside from Bryant and Randle, Peace joins a curious bunch of players for the coming season. World Peace is 35 years old and will be entering his 15th season in the National Basketball Association. However, Kupchak said the Lakers were open to the possibility of waiving a player with a guaranteed deal to make room for a player who makes more sense for the team. He has the greatest hands I’ve ever seen play.

Now that Metta World Peace is officially in the mix, it’s nearly as if the Lakers’ front office purposely has created this lovely storm – and we’re right in the eye.
