The Superveloce Radster has a power increase of 50 hp to 750 hp and a dry weight of 1,575 kg (3,472 lb), that is 50 kg (110 lbs) lighter compared to the Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster. Power is routed to the Haldex four-wheel drive system through a seven-speed auto “box, which apparently provides an ’emotional” shift, whatever that means.

Monterey auto Week, while definitely a hoity-toity event, is nonetheless a treat for vehicle enthusiasts, as it showcases interesting classics from years gone by, as well as a few future classics, if you can call them that.

Moreover, according to the famous Italian brand’s head Stephan Winkelmann, the latest Aventador supercar has the capability to exceed 217 miles per hour (mph) at top speed; and can accelerate from zero to 62 mph in barely 2.9 seconds. The SuperVeloce Roadster has the same hardware as the Aventador SV coupe, including the adaptive Magneto Rheological Suspension, pushrod damping system and Lamborghini Dynamic Steering (LDS).

The hardtop bears two pieces weighing less than 13 pounds which are made of carbon fiber. Elsewhere, the SV Roadster features all the same visual and aerodynamic modifications as the coupe.

For those who want to hear the engine roar as loud as possible, the Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster is fitted with a power rear window that allows engine sounds to fill the cabin. Safety first, right? Lamborghini is only making 500 of these things, 100 less than the SV Coupe, though it’s not the limited availability that puts the Roadster out of reach of most people, it’s the price tag – $530,075.
