Lamborghini introduces $200K ‘hard-core’ Huracan
Announced a day before the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show, the midengine, V-10 coupe is the third – and cheapest – Huracan road vehicle after the awd coupe and convertible variants.

What’s old is new again at Lamborghini.
The new car’s weight distribution is 40/60% front to rear, and Lamborghini says the selectable driving modes – Strada, Sport and Corsa – are “tuned to provide oversteering characteristics”, which could address widespread criticism of the four-wheel-drive car’s ultra-stable handling set-up.
The suspension, steering and stability and traction controls all have been recalibrated for the revised setup, Lamborghini said.
The car’s V10 5.2-liter engine sends 580 horsepower to the rear axle.
Interestingly, this Huracan has foregone the model’s standard dual-clutch seven-speed transmission in favour of a race-spec sequential transmission to handle the incredible power this Italian beast is pumping out. Power-to-weight ratio stands at 2.4 kg/hp, compared to the 2.33 kg/hp for the LP 610-4.
Lamborghini unveiled the rear wheel drive Huracan but is yet to reveal availability or pricing details. The Pirelli tires are also unique, as is the 580-2’s front fascia.
The newest Lamborghini Infotainment System II, with a 12.3-inch high-res TFT instrument panel, is found in the cabin.

The supercar is now available for order at dealerships across Europe, with a suggested pre-tax retail price of €150,000 (evidently, local taxes will push that price way up).
