Get ready for some fast and furious bidding; the very last Evo for the USA market – model number 1600 – is heading to eBay where it will go under the digital hammer to raise money for Feeding America Riverside San Bernardino and Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County. 0001, the final US1600 chassis will be put on eBay starting 9am on Thursday, September 8, and accepting bids for a week.
While we’re sure it’ll cost more than one of the first 1599 Final Edition cars, there will no doubt be a crop of devout Evo fans at the ready to pay the premium, no matter what it is. It also gets a serial number plaque on the dash and red stitch accents on the seats, steering wheel, shift knob, console lid, and other places.
Recall, Mitsubishi built a run of 1,600 “Final Edition” models to celebrate the Evo’s ten-generation run. On the outside, these tweaks include the “Final Edition” badge, a black-painted roof, gloss-black center bumper and hood air outlet, dark-chrome-painted wheels and front grille surround, and a Diamond White Pearl paint job.
