Ahead of the Paris Motor Show premiere of the new Discovery SUV later this month, Land Rover arranged for renowned adventurer Bear Grylls to demonstrate its innovative Intelligent Seat Fold technology by remotely arranging the SUV’s seats while parachuting from a plane.

Well, we’ve brought you stories of the auto being spotted testing and now Land Rover has officially announced that the world premiere of the new Discovery is scheduled for September 28, 2016.

The icons are large enough to be triggered while wearing gloves, with Bear fooling around in the sky accompanied by the Royal Navy Parachute Display Team – and the Discovery prototype then took all of them and their gear.

While the app allows users to fold the back two seat rows, vehicle operators can also control the seats within the auto. The seat adjustment switches are within the luggage area and on the C-pillar and allow the seats to be moved or folded while standing beside the vehicle. Next, it will be closely related to the current line-up of the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport and this translates directly to the fact that the new Discovery will see the extensive use of aluminum.

Land Rover similarly proved that thrill-seeking is inherent with help from a petite athlete (see more).
