Lankford Introduces Bill To Defund Planned Parenthood

In a letter to the university, U.S. Rep. Doug Lamborn, R-Colorado Springs, referenced documents released by the Center for Medical Progress alleging a purchase by CSU for “aborted babies’ body parts for experimentation or other purposes”, directly or indirectly from Planned Parenthood’s California affiliate, on January 10, 2013. John Boozman and Tom Cotton, both R-Ark., joined with 48 other senators Wednesday in calling for an investigation into Planned Parenthood following the release of undercover videos of officials with the organization discussing providing fetal tissue from abortions to researchers.

She strongly states that Planned Parenthood does not profit from the process of selling fetal tissue but, rather for reimbursement rates of providing the tissue.

The “selective editing” defense is an especially weak one considering the full, unedited videos have been available online since they were first released.

“You can not sell any sort of human tissue for research”, Teague added.

“They subscribe [to] and implement the highest ethical standards in carrying out their operations”, he said of the nonprofit health group.

Planned Parenthood, a national family planning non-profit, is still on the defense after videos like these began surfacing.

Funny, these Republicans won’t say a thing about guns – we had another shooting Thursday night; you may not have noticed because they all run together – but they love to yell about abortion.

“I think it’s frightful, it’s bad, and we gotta put a stop to it. Above all, I hope we can put together enough votes to cut back the federal payments to Planned Parenthood“, said Senator Hatch.

Planned Parenthood officials have cried foul over an expose by an anti-abortion group.

Investigator David Daleiden said he and his fellow members of the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) undertook the “Human Capital” investigation for 30 months to be able to show the public what really takes place in the abortion industry.

“[I]t’s really an attack against a woman’s right to choose”, Clinton said, according to the NBC report.

Culp said her group wants to ensure that the state’s ban is adequately enforced and, “That’s not going to happen without a thorough investigation”. The review will examine if any of that money is being used by Planned Parenthood.

The bill, dubbed the Defund Planned Parenthood Act of 2015, would institute a one-year moratorium on federal funding for Planned Parenthood.

“These doctors sure sound like those that know that there’s a competitive black market at play and are willing to engage in illegal activity to tap into it”, she said.
