Larry Fitzgerald ‘expects 2016 to be his last season’
Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports the 33-year-old is telling those close to him, he expects this season to be his last in the NFL.

If it is his past year, he had a great career, with many memorable playoff games. They were one of the favorites last season and they are one of the top NFL’ teams this season too. Fitzgerald played in all 16 games for the NFC West Champions. He is third among active receivers in yards and second in touchdowns.
However, moments after Rapoport’s tweet, Larry Fitzgerald’s father said that’s news to him. If this stays true, the NFL Hall of Fame is the next step for the forever Cardinal. His production stalled somewhat from 2012-14 due to poor QB play, but Fitzgerald had an impressive 2015 season campaign setting a career high in receptions with 109 and reeling in nine touchdowns with 1,215 yards.
Cardinals play-by-play man Dave Pasch went on to suggest Fitz’s decision may hinge on whether he earns that elusive Super Bowl championship this season.

A Super Bowl ring is the only thing missing from Fitzgerald’s Hall of Fame resumé, and after reaching the pinnacle of National Football League success with the Cardinals in 2008 just to fall short to the Steelers in Super Bowl XLIII, it would only be fitting for him to try and walk out on top.
