Larry Nassar accuses judge of running a ‘media circus’
“Unfortunately, you’ve taken on an organization I feel is rotting form the inside, and while you may not be what you thought you were getting into, you will be judged by how you deal with it”.

The criminal cases against Nassar followed reports a year ago in The Indianapolis Star about how USA Gymnastics mishandled complaints about sexual misconduct involving the doctor and coaches.
Michigan State University is asking the Michigan Attorney General to investigate its handling of the Larry Nassar sexual assault scandal. Olympic gold medalists Simone Biles, Gabby Douglas, McKayla Maroney and Aly Raisman have said they, too, were victims.
Larry Nassar is accused of molesting more than 100 young athletes, who are sharing their stories and their scars.
“It seemed whenever and wherever this man could find the chance, I was ‘treated.’ It happened in London before my team and I won the gold medal, and it happened before I won my silver medal”.
With about 120 victims now expected to make statements at the hearing, more than initially expected, Nassar’s sentencing has been delayed to early next week.
Raisman said Friday that USA Gymnastics and the U.S. Olympic Committee, “have been quick to capitalize on my success”, she said. “I have always done my best to lead MSU and I will continue to do so today and tomorrow”.
She spoke for roughly 15 minutes and addressed the letter Nassar wrote to the judge Rosemarie Aquilina, in which he said she had turned his sentencing into a “media circus” and complained about the effect hearing his victim’s stories were having on his psyche.
He pleaded guilty to 10 counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct in November.
“It’s time for me to stand up for these little girls and not stand behind you anymore, Larry”, Gonzcar said.
He has already been sentenced to 60 years in prison on a child pornography case stemming from separate incidents.
On Friday afternoon, however, the Michigan State Board of Trustees released a statement supporting Simon, calling her the “right leader” for the university.
A noticeably nervous Wieber, accompanied by Raisman, told a MI court that Nassar first molested her when she was 14 years old. She wasn’t planning on being in court, Nassar is present for the testimonials, but she ultimately made a decision to go. USA Gymnastics canceled a team camp scheduled for later this month.
