Las Vegas murder suspect escapes police custody
Alonso Perez shot and killed Mohammed Robinson outside a North Las Vegas McDonald’s. Moments later, Perez stole a white 2016 Ford F-250 pickup truck with Nevada license plate #26C819. Cops said the suspect-6-foot-3, 200 pounds-has a 3-inch “Air Jordan” tattoo on the left side of his neck, the Review-Journal reports. That’s when Perez twisted his handcuffs until they snapped and bolted.

He had been accused in the fatal shooting of a 31-year-old man who, according to witnesses, was attacked because he did not open the door for a woman at a McDonald’s.
On Sept. 2, 25-year-old Alonso Perez was brought into the North Las Vegas Police Department’s (NLVPD) detective bureau under suspicion for murder.
A few hours after his escape, the truck was recovered in a neighbourhood several miles east of downtown Las Vegas.
The escape was believed to be the second this year from a police station in the Las Vegas area. He then escaped the police compound without detection.
Perez is the suspect in a fatal shooting that took place at about 11:45 p.m. the night of August 27, according to police.
The detectives who had planned to interview the suspect when he escaped last week are still working on the case, Chief Alexander Perez said.
There wasn’t a standoff, Patty said. He is due in court Thursday morning and faces charges of murder, discharging a gun into an occupied structure, escape and grand larceny of an automobile.
It was another 25 minutes before detectives realized he was gone, the police chief said.
“Someone will be monitoring the interrogation room at all times when someone’s in custody or being interviewed”, the chief added.
Perez was booked Tuesday night into Clark County Detention Center on suspicion of discharging a weapon, and assault with a deadly weapon as well as a previous domestic battery charge for a total of $53,000 bail. If you would like to discuss another topic, look for a relevant article.
