Arkansas’ game against Texas A&M will be preceded by Auburn-LSU on ESPN.

“It was surreal”, Piper said of scoring her first ever goal in maroon and white. Guerrieri praised his midfielder after the game and said her hard work is paying off. From 10 yards out, Piper sent it into the back of the net.

“She’s been fantastic”, Guerrieri said of Piper. Senior Grace Wright whipped in the service and Grace Piper connected on it, heading it across the keeper into the right side of the goal. “I’m sure she’s made a lot of people forget that an Olympian is in the line-up”.

The Aggies doubled their lead in the opening minutes of the second half through All-SEC midfielder Mikaela Harvey as she took a touch at the top of the LSU box and placed an attempt just inside the top-left corner of the net to give her side a 2-0 lead in the 47 minute. “I could see that there were a lot of defenders coming at her and she didn’t really have that much help, so I just ran up hoping that she would find me and she did”, Harvey said.

Freshman defender Jordan Hill would put the contest out of reach minutes later with her first goal of the season as she struck inside the right post with her right foot from the penalty spot for a 3-0 lead on 70 minutes. “I saw some space and was hoping for the best”.

Piper has registered one goal and an assist for A&M this season.
