Latest Android version Nougat rolling out to Nexus devices
While all the Nexus device holders are happy with the news of Google rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat for them, here is another news that the mobile world is loving it.

The General Mobile 4G, an Android One device which is getting the Nougat update directly from Google but isn’t officially part of the Nexus program, is not listed on that download page. Presented in March by Google, Android 7.0, nicknamed Nougat, will initially equip devices in the Nexus range, as indicated by the Web giant in a blog post.
The Nougat name comes from Google’s tradition of naming their software updates alphabetically after “sweet treats” and follows 2015’s Marshmallow update.
Straying from tradition, Google has released the final version of Android Nougat for its Nexus smartphone series.
There’s also going to be a “recent apps” button, where you’ll be able to switch between your two most recently-used apps with a double-tap.
Google is bringing its new version of Android to certain Nexus devices starting Monday, the company just announced. It is strongly recommended that the users should back up their Android device before attempting for an update.
VR mode will be introduced in Android with Nougat through Daydream.
However, if you do have an Android device that uses Google’s stock OS, then you are also in luck. Still, it’s probably a good idea to backup any important data before applying an update manually, whether you’re using a custom recovery or adb to do it.

Sameer Samat, VP of Product Management, Android & Google Play, said, “Google has taken a different approach to build and launch Nougat which was announced earlier this year”. You’ll wipe your device when you flash a factory image, though, so do be aware of that.
