Real estate mogul Donald Trump has retained an edge over retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson in Iowa in a poll taken after last week’s GOP presidential debate that also showed Mr. Carson and Sen.

In a general election matchup, Carson would beat Hillary Clinton handily, 50-40 percent, the poll says.

In response to Dr. Carson’s lead in the polls, Trump is attempting to establish a narrative that Carson doesn’t have the experience to be president.

In the Fox poll, two other candidates have double-digit support, part of a steady increase in recent weeks: Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz, with 11 percent each.

New Jersey Gov. Christopher Christie tops Clinton 46 – 41 percent.

The NBC/WSJ survey of 847 registered voters was conducted October 25th through 29th and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.4 percentage points.

Though Quinnipiac University’s survey, which comes one year before 2016’s Election Day, claims the race between Trump and Carson is neck-and-neck, the findings also suggest that Trump’s still got work to do to win voters’ support.

Rubio came in third at 14 percent, with Cruz placing fourth at 13 percent. Just over a quarter of GOP voters said they’re definitely decided on their candidate and 23 percent said they’re leaning toward someone. But businessman Donald Trump Clinton has a 3-point edge over Donald Trump in the poll, 46 percent to 43 percent. Trump is at 24-percent and Carson 23-percent.

According to the average of the four polls, Carson gets 25.3% of the vote to Trump’s 24.3%. Carson placed second with 18 percent.

Jeb Bush is fifth with 4 percent.

As if Trump haven’t pissed off enough people already, there he goes again. The survey includes 502 Republicans, with a margin of error of plus or minus 4.4 percentage points, and 480 Democrats, with a margin of error of plus or minus 4.5 percentage points.
