Latino support for Donald Trump at 40% in NY
In 2014 their total tax bill was just under $10 million, so you could buy a pretty nice oceanfront mansion with the amount Bill and Hillary Clinton did NOT have to pay in taxes this year. Over the last decade, the couple has donated 7.5 percent of their income to charity, the campaign said, and paid an effective tax rate of 25.6 percent previous year.

Hillary Clinton has released her tax returns, adding to the pressure on her Republican rival for the White House, Donald Trump, to do the same.
The Clinton campaign’s release gave them another opportunity to jab Trump for his refusal to release his own tax returns. “What is he trying to hide?”, said Jennifer Palmieri.
The filings show that the Clintons paid a federal tax rate of 34.2 percent in 2015.
The national news outlet recommended the Republican party “write off the nominee as hopeless” if Trump fails to act more presidential by Labor Day, in which case it said Trump should “turn the nomination over to Mike Pence”, the Republican candidate’s running mate.
Clinton released her tax returns on Friday, painting the move as a sign of transparency that her campaign says Trump lacks.
Other significant sources of income included $3 million in book proceeds for Hillary, and $1.6 million for Bill’s consulting with GEMS Education, an global education company, and Laureate Education, Inc., a for-profit education chain.
But Clinton’s own returns bring her some unwanted attention too, notably to her and her husband’s extraordinary income, derived primarily through speaking fees.
The Clintons have disclosed returns for every year dating back to 1977. In an email to supporters asking them to donate, Trump accused the “liberal media” of telling “outrageous lies about me”.
The former Virginia governor went further by saying Trump was also not funding veterans services if he wasn’t paying taxes. In 2014, she earned almost $10.5 million in speaking fees, exceeding the $9.7 million her husband Bill was paid for doing the same.
Clinton and her husband, former president Bill Clinton, paid an effective federal income tax rate of 34.2 percent and an effective state and local income tax rate of 9 percent in 2015, with a total income of about 10.7 million US dollars, according to her campaign. “They donated 9.8% of their adjusted gross income to charity”.
The returns show that the Clintons’ made about $10 million last year, which is a significant drop from the year before, when the duo reported a combined income of about $28 million.
It is customary for US presidential candidates to make their tax returns public, although they are not required by law to do so.

Hillary Clinton proposed to make college tuition “free for the middle class” and “debt free for everyone” at a rally in MI on Thursday.
