Latinos Call Out Donald Trump For His Fear-Mongering Speech

John Weaver, a senior adviser to Ohio Republican Governor John Kasich, a former presidential rival to Mr Trump, said in a tweet that Mr Trump had delivered the “saddest, darkest, most depressing acceptance speech in modern history”.

That Republican politicians oppose paid parental leave is surprising, considering it’s perhaps one of the least controversial benefits for Republican voters: According to a Fortune-Morning Consult poll from April, “74% of registered voters said they supported requiring employers to offer paid parental leave for new parents”.

He said: “Our convention occurs at a moment of crisis for our nation”.

“I have a message for all of you: the crime and violence that today afflicts our nation will soon come to an end”. “Beginning on January 20, of 2017, safety will be restored”. “This will all change when I take office”, he will continue.

In a party convention beset by distractions – Melania Trump’s plagiarism, Ted Cruz’s defiance – there’s been one part of the program that delegates say has been almost flawless: Donald Trump’s grown children.

But Trump’s nomination speech, like every Trump speech, was completely devoid of solutions to the many, many problems Trump said was wrong with America.

But he says their remarks-all coming on Wednesday night-were overshadowed by another U.S. Senator wrestling with endorsing Trump.

He said: “I have joined the political arena so that the powerful can no longer beat up on people that cannot defend themselves”.

Trump’s speech will close out a four-day conclave in Cleveland that exposed continuing divisions among Republicans over their nominee at a time when they need to unite for a looming battle against Democrat Hillary Clinton in the run-up to the November 8 election. It reads: “‘I’m With Her.’ I choose to recite a different pledge”, he said.

“But unlike Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump is committed to cut taxes, curb spending and get our national debt under control”.

“But Hillary Clinton’s legacy does not have to be America’s legacy”. He said he would avoid multinational trade deals but instead pursue agreements with individual countries. “I feel so badly”. When Republican presidential hopeful Marco Rubio couldn’t muster a win in his home state he chose to back out of the race. “As your president, I will do everything in my power to protect our LGBT citizens” [light clapping] “from the violence and oppression of a hateful foreign ideology” [cue thunderous applause].

He also spoke about the recent Nice, France truck attack that killed 84 people, and identified ways to battle terrorism.

“To make life safe in America, we must also address the growing threats we face from outside America: we are going to defeat the barbarians of (Islamic State) and we are going to defeat them fast”. He pledged to fight terrorism by improving intelligence gathering and working with allies in the region to battle IS. “I will immediately suspend immigration from countries that have been comprised by terrorism until proven vetting mechanisms have been put in place”, he said. “The problems we face now – poverty and violence at home, war and destruction overseas – will last only as long as we continue relying on the same politicians who created them”.

A lot has happened since then – not the least of which, her husband, Donald Trump, became the party’s official nominee for president.

The eldest Trump daughter shared tales of her father communing with blue-collar workers on the Trump Organization’s construction sites. “He hires the best person for the job, period”.

It was the biggest night so far for the NY real estate mogul’s campaign and final night of the 2016 Republican National Convention held at the Quicken Loans Arena in downtown Cleveland in the state of Ohio.
