Laura Confirmed for Street Fighter 5 with New Trailer
The EB Games New Zealand YouTube page has released a new trailer for Street Fighter V, introducing the brand new character Laura.

Specializing in Matsuda Jiu-Jitsu, Brazilian fighter Laura is the next heir of the famed fighting style, so she is “constantly looking for strong opponents around the world to defeat, in an effort to spread the Matsuda Jiu-Jitsu’s name and prestige”. Capcom spent much of last night furiously taking down videos of the newest challenger, but seem to have now given up. Her projectile attack is hardly fast or ranged enough to be a threat, but it can be used as a distraction to lure enemies into her rolling attack, another traditional Blanka staple.
Gamers will once again be able to try out the core mechanics of the fighting game, with Capcom saying that it wants to mainly test the way the title handles cross-platform play.
She was leaked earlier this week after Famitsu fumbled its assets, releasing them a little earlier than Capcom intended. As we’re still reviewing our content delivery system, Rashid will be added in on day two (October 23) and Karin added on day three (October 24).
Eight of those characters – including Ryu, Chun Li and M. Bison – are familiar faces for long-time fans of the game.
Street Fighter V will launch for the PlayStation 4 and PC in March 2016. Whether we’ll see more coming in the form of DLC though is not yet known.
