Trott’s fiance Jason Kenny won men’s keirin which was restarted twice.

Jason Kenny and Laura Trott made it 10 Olympic gold medals between them Tuesday after a dramatic night of track cycling at the velodrome. Of the three gold medals up for grabs at the Olympic Velodrome, British riders won two of them, and took silver and bronze in the other event.
And it brought with it gushing praise from the man he may yet surpass four years from now in Tokyo.
“He has been untouchable this week, he has been on a different level”.
“He has dealt with extreme pressure – he is a true champion”.
British Cycling is incentivised to prioritise Olympic medals as that is the criteria UK Sport uses for allocating funding, and Kenny, who is set to marry Trott next month, also brushed off opponents’ cynicism. “Let’s all be nice to one another”.
“It’s character, just fantastic”.
Sarah Hammer won a silver medal in the women’s omnium cycling event Tuesday afternoon.
Boasting a staggering five gold medals between them at Rio 2016, the pair’s valour in the velodrome means they would now sit 13th in the Olympic medals table had they been a country. She is the most successful British female Olympian.
“At my first Olympics in Beijing I knew we had something special to build on”.
‘I don’t really listen to Chris, but he is right worryingly often, ‘ Kenny said.
All Trott’s gold medals have been at the expense of Hammer, the American who must be sick of the sight of her rear wheel. “I’d love her to bits even if she was rubbish, but she’s not”.
“[I’ll] probably take the dogs for a walk [when I get home]”.
Kenny’s victory was less clear-cut.
Yet when it comes to the last three Games put together, Germany has managed two gold, Australia has one, and France has been shut out, compared to Britain’s 20.
She later explained that it wasn’t a new thing, adding: “Been a little while now just didn’t want the distraction before the Games”.
British coach Iain Dyer insisted it was a fallacy to suggest his team is not successful at the worlds.
His video evidence also spared Eilers on the second false start. Wiping away tears, Trott’s mother Glenda said: “At the moment, as I stand here, how I’m feeling goes beyond proud”.

Dyer insisted that Kenny should be counted amongst his country’s greatest ever sportsmen.
