Lava pixel V1 first impressions
The rumour mill has been on full run lately hinting about the upcoming Android One smartphone in India, which is expected to be made by Lava. Since the Lava Pixel V1 is part of the Android One initiative, it is guaranteed to get at least two years’ worth of Android updates straight from Google, which should start with Android M.

It was expected that Google’s Android One will taste the same kind of success in the affordable space as its Nexus devices.
LAVA Pixel V1 is available in single color variant i.e White-Silver for Rs. In terms of specifications, the smartphone features a 5.5-inch HD display with a 720 x 1280 pixel resolution.
Google’s Android One, after some initial PR-built hype, failed drastically. It tuns on a 1.3GHz quad-core CPU coupled with 2GB of RAM, and up to 32GB of expandable storage on microSD card. The Pixel V1 has been spotted listed at MySmartPrice, which is a price comparison website, hinting it’s launch to be imminent.
On the connectivity front, it offers Wi-Fi and dual-SIM support having one 3G enabled SIM card. To round it up, there’s a 2560 mAh battery.
Commenting on the launch Mr. Navin Chawla, Vice President & Head Product, LAVA worldwide said, “We are extremely pleased about our association with Google to launch Lava’s first Android One device, the Pixel V1”.

Earlier, Google associated with Indian smartphone makers such as Spice, Micromax and Karbonn for launching the Android One portfolio in India. Also, the company is set to start selling the new smartphone through over 2,000 stores in all national and regional modern trade chains and over 65,000 multi-brand outlets across the country. A 13MP camera (with an aperture of f/2.0) can be found on the back of the unit while a 5MP snapper adorns the front of the handset.
