Lava Pixel V2 smartphone launched with 13-megapixel camera at Rs 10750

The Lava Pixel V2 is one of the company’s beefier handsets, and it would fit nicely alongside the previous model… it if were an Android One smartphone.

The Pixel V2 is a 4G device and has a vibrant 5 inch HD IPS display with a scratch resistant Dragon trail glass having a 5 inch screen size.

A quad-core MediaTek MT6735 clocked at 1.3GHz will power the Lava Pixel V2 with a bit of help from 2GB of RAM.

16GB worth of built-in storage has also been granted to it by its makers, apart from a microSD card slot supporting another 32GB. They want to capture special moments in their life and share them instantly in their social circle.

There’s also a 13-megapixel main camera on the back, which features autofocus, dual LED flash, f/2.0 aperture and full HD (1080p) video recording, as well as a secondary 8-megapixel selfie camera in the front, which features 840degree wide-angle lens and LED flash.

The Pixel V2 ships with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box, along with Star OS on top of it.

Lava has roped in fashion photographer Subi Samuel for this product.

The Pixel V2 additionally packs a 2,500mAh Li-Po battery. “At a group level we sell over three million devices while in India we are selling on an average around 2.3 million devices every month”, he said. “Talks are progressing well with various state governments and we should be taking a final call on the same in the coming months”, he said, adding that the company has definite plans to increase manufacturing capacity in India.

“The 1.4 micron large pixel size allows enhanced light intake per pixel helping in capturing brighter, clearer images with great detail”.

– The smartphone will be available in two striking colours, Icy White & Royal Black, across all national retail stores and multi-brand outlets. From September 15, 2015, the phone will be available online.
