Lawmakers respond to President’s new gun law proposal
Senator Rubio answered questions relating to President Obama’s executive actions on gun control.

According to Politico, “the changes include requiring an expanded number of small-scale gun sellers to be licensed – and therefore conduct background checks – whenever selling a weapon”. The President has overseen a dramatic drop in prosecutions related to the enforcement of gun laws already on the books, and his party recently voted once again to defeat a Senate measure to increase those prosecutions.
Bush went on to say he would repeal Obama’s “anti-gun executive orders” on his first day in office. This wouldn’t close the so-called gun show loophole, though it has the potential to narrow it. “I believe that enacting sweeping regulations on gun owners is an irresponsible and misguided reaction to real threats from terrorists”.
“No president should be able to reverse legislative failure by executive fiat, not even incrementally”. I will fight on behalf of those I represent to stop any attempt to erode the Second Amendment rights of Americans.
Rep. Diane Black (R-TN) is a proud gun owner who has introduced legislation to protect American gun owners’ rights.
“We Mainers have a long tradition of exercising our Second Amendment rights responsibly, having a large amount of gun owners and a very low amount of gun violence”, Poliquin said.
“The recent tragedies that have gripped our country are heartbreaking, but none of the unilateral restrictions President Obama is proposing would have prevented them, making his proposal all the more insulting and political”, he continued.

U.S. Senator Ben Sasse is also critical of the gun control effort.
