Lawyer in Bihar files case against “Lord Rama” for Cruelty to “Sita”
Singh cited this as an instance of a non-cognisable offence committed by Lord Rama towards his wife, adding that Rama did this even after Sita had sworn an oath of living with her husband till death in front of the sacred fire.

The complainant Thakur Chandan Kumar filed the case saying he wants justice for the whole women community.
Stating that Sita was daughter of Mithila in Bihar and justice was not done to her by Lord Rama, Singh said the aim of his petition was to seek justice for Sita. Despite having had to undergo an agnipariksha, the complainant is deeply disturbed that Sita along with her sons Luv and Kush were exiled to the jungle.
In February 2016, we’ve managed to push all of them away to hear a case against Lord Ram, the former king of Ayodhya. The lawyer said that Lord Rama had listened to a washer-man who said against their marriage.
A report by the Hindustan Times said, a senior lawyer filed the case in the court of the chief judicial magistrate (CJM) in Sitamarhi, north Bihar.
Singh is a resident of Dumri Kala village under Majorganj police station. “My petition in the court is not to hurt religious sentiments”. “Lord Rama did not think for a single moment how a woman could live alone amid wild animals, including reptiles and mammals, in the forest”.
