Lawyer says Kane will make job decision soon
Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane, escorted by a member of her security team, prepares to leave the Montgomery County Courthouse and await a verdict, in Norristown, Pa., Monday, Aug. 15, 2016.

Seth Farber, who is representing Kathleen Kane, said the first-term Democrat felt the public should know her predecessor had failed to prosecute a case involving an NAACP official.
In calling her a flight risk, the judge ordered Kathleen Kane, 50, to surrender her passport and threatened to jail her if she retaliated against the once-trusted aides who testified against her. Attorney General Kane has been convicted of serious charges. They alleged that Kane acted on anger about a local newspaper article that accused her of dropping an investigation into politicians accepting bribes.
The trial has pitted Kane against two former confidants who testified that she leaked grand jury evidence and lied about it under oath. Morrow was granted immunity for his testimony. Her attorney says she has not handed in her resignation.
“And I am just glad to see that the end is finally in sight for them, and for the citizens. because it’s been a long time that they have been suffering”.
Kathleen Kane sworn into office as Pennsylvania’s first elected female attorney general.
The NAACP official, who was never charged, was smeared in the process, authorities said.
Instead, he said, Kane’s chief deputy, Adrian King, abused his power when he sent the files to a reporter through Kane’s political consultant.
“Where is my story?”
According to recent precedent in Pennsylvania, Kane could resign quickly, or wait until she is sentenced, which trial Judge Wendy Demchick-Alloy said Monday night should happen within 90 days. They believe they have arguments to make on whether there was a fair trial.especially that they couldn’t bring up Porngate as part of their defense.
June 2014 – Philadelphia Daily News publishes story based on leaked grand jury records.
November 2014 – Kane testifies before grand jury. Prosecutors say he became collateral damage in Kane’s effort to embarrass the prosecutor who dropped the case.
Kane’s attorney, Shargel, seemed to discount the verdict on the grounds that much of Kane’s preferred defense – that she was being punished by a male-dominated justice system because of her resoluteness in ferreting out sexist and racist emails – was ruled out of bounds for this trial in pre-trial proceedings.
Kane did not testify during the trial, but has said she believes she was targeted for unearthing lewd emails on state computers by what she calls an “old boys network”. She faces up to seven years in prison on the felony perjury charge.
The panel has asked the judge to repeat the definitions of official oppression, obstruction by a government official and criminal conspiracy.
Gov. Tom Kane, a fellow Democrat, renewed his previous calls for Kane to step down.

During the trial in Norristown, outside Philadelphia, Kane’s lawyers argued that she meant to make a legal leak of information to the press and did not know her aides would include grand jury material.
