LB Denzel Nkemdiche questionable for Ole Miss’ game against LSU

MS senior linebacker Denzel Nkemdiche has been in the hospital this week for an undisclosed reason. There has been no reason given for the hospitalization. According to RebelGrove.com, he was conscious as of Wednesday night. Hospitals can remove patients’ names from public registry to protect the privacy of their patients.

Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze informed reporters Wednesday that Nkemdiche was out of practice due to a “personal matter” and his status for Saturday against LSU was still uncertain. He is the older brother of star junior defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche, one of the top players in the nation and potentially the No. 1 overall pick in next year’s NFL Draft.

The 22-year-old has been deemed questionable for Saturday’s SEC showdown with LSU.

Dr. Nkemdiche said Thursday that Denzel was “up and talking”.

Gates ranks third on the Rebels with 48 tackles, including seven on November 7 against Arkansas, despite only starting once this season. I think he ready for this challenge.
