Living up to its tradition as the premier forum for rock “n” roll reunions, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival will host Guns N’ Roses this year.

According to The New York Times, LCD Soundsystem is set to reunite at Coachella, which will return to Indio, Calif. on April 15-17 and April 22-24.
GNR reunion rumors first started when former guitarist Slash stated that he and singer Axl Rose put aside the two decades worth of differences.
Besides Slash and Rose, it is unclear who else will participate.
In October, Consequence of Sound reported LCD Soundsystem would reunite for Coachella and three other summer festivals in the U.S. and U.K. However, Kris Petersen – the manager of Murphy’s label DFA Records – didn’t mince his words when denying the reports.
Rumours began surfacing this year about an LCD Soundsystem reunion, but sources from Murphy’s record label DFA Records actively denied these claims.
Rose is expected to make an announcement about the future of Guns N’ Roses on talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live! next week.

A spokesman for LCD Soundsystem declined to comment. Rumors about their return heated up when LCD released a new track on Christmas eve titled “Christmas Will Break Your Heart” on their website. The James Murphy-led band last performed in April 2011, at a string of goodbye shows in New York City which culminated at Madison Square Garden. Coachella has a penchant for high-profile reunions; 2004 saw the Pixies reunited, 2007 had Rage against the Machine, and 2014 saw Outkast return to the stage.
