Lea Michele has reportedly been left shocked by her sudden split from Matthew Paetz, who gave “no explanation” for ending their relationship.

A rep for Lea Michele has confirmed to People that she has split from boyfriend Matthew Paetz after almost two years of dating. By entering into a public relationship with Lea, Paetz was bound to get exposure on an enormous level. On Sunday, she shared a snap of herself hanging out with her former Glee co-star, Becca Tobin, and her Scream Queens co-star, Emma Roberts. According to Us Weekly, the two called it quits earlier this month, and it hasn’t been easy for the actress.
Michele posted several photos with her friends over the weekend, before the news broke.
“About last night… @RobertsEmma @becbecbobec love them!” she wrote, adding wine and heart emojis.
Less than two months ago Michele said that Paetz would have loved her former boyfriend Cory Monteith, who died tragically of a combination heroin and alcohol overdose in 2013.
It’s great that she has her friends around her and we know that she will be able to get through this. And, you know, he also is very respectful for the person that I was with, and that, again, is something that I love so much about him.
