Leaked document reveals Office 2016 release date

In July, Microsoft said Office 2016 for Windows PC would be launched in September but did not mention a specific date. Microsoft’s numbers from last year showed that Office had more than 1.2 billion users last year and more than 80 million downloads on the Office for iPad and Office for iPhone.

Fresh from unveiling Windows 10, Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) is allegedly planning to launch its 2016 Office suite next month.

Office 2016 for Mac is already available to Office 365 subscribers.

Furthermore, it has been also stated in the announcement that Windows would continue supporting previous versions with regular updates to provide further improvements in the system.

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) intends to roll out its Office 2016 suite in September.

“This is the central hub for all Office 2016 Commercial readiness, training and marketing materials”, it continued. According to The Verge, the new “colorful” theme included on that Mac release as well as the newest iOS and Android iterations will be included on the flagship version. Image insertion capability on Word 2016 and Excel 2016 have also been updated. Word 2016 will also bring real-time co-authoring, which allows multiple people to view and edit a document simultaneously.

The current release date isn’t confirmed just yet as Microsoft has yet to announce anything so things could still change.
