The vehicle will replace the ageing DB9 and go on sale later this year.

“The coming years will see Aston Martin transform not only its entire range of models but also its scale and global presence, and the new DB11 will be central to that success”, said Aston Martin CEO Andy Palmer previously.

With the 2016 Geneva Motor Show less than a week away, it wouldn’t be long before we can feast our eyes on the Aston Martin DB11 for real and in the flesh. Some believe they are consistent with all they know about the super coupe DB11.

The D11 is the successor to the ageing DB9 by Aston Martin. The new engine will be sourced from AMG and it is likely to be the new 4.0-litre turbocharged unit that powers the AMG GT and other top end performance cars like the C 63. The rear spoiler is quite subtle but the bumper and side skirts are noticeably chunky, meaning the DB11 has a more muscular appearance than most previous Aston Martin sports cars.

There are clear design cues from both the DBX crossover concept, such as the sloping roofline, and the one-off DB10 created for the James Bond movie franchise, including wheels that appear nearly identical.

“A brand new bonded aluminium platform, clever aerodynamics, a new characterful twin-turbo V12 and class-leading infotainment systems are just a few aspects which make this the sports auto that will proudly spearhead Aston Martin’s second century plan”. More details on DB11 will be revealed on March 1st.
