ATLANTA (AP) – After leading by 21 points in the first half, the Cleveland Cavaliers were pushed past regulation by the Atlanta Hawks.
Over the last six games versus Charlotte, Cleveland has outscored them by an average margin of 9.8 points (103.8-94.0).
There’s little that LeBron James could do that would surprise the National Basketball Association masses. James, the four-time MVP, who didn’t play in the fourth quarter, has 26,689 career points.
James is more focused on securing the best record in the Eastern Conference.
Isaiah Thomas scored 22 points but made only six of 21 shots from the field and had five turnovers for the Celtics, who lost their second game in a row. Early in the third quarter, the Hawks went on a run, nearly instantly cutting the Cavaliers’ lead to eight points early in the third.
Small forward Thaddeus Young led Brooklyn with 18 points and eight rebounds, while small forward Bojan Bogdanovic had 14 points and point guard Shane Larkin had 13 points, five boards and eight assists.
