LeBron James unsure over Rio commitment

For his part, former Bulls coach and Team USA assistant Tom Thibodeau did not seem shocked by Rose’s decision not to participate.

“I’m not penciling it in, as of now, for next summer”, James said. “But this is the start of the process for all of us”, James said.

James says hes “not penciling it in, as of now, for next summer” and that his decision may not come until after next season.

McClanaghan, who said that Rose has been working out five days a week this summer, sounds pleased with what he has seen.

“There’s 34 guys here”. In total, the USA has won the gold medal 15* of the 18 times that the sport has appeared in the Olympics including both the 2008 games in Beijing, China and the 2012 games in London, England.

Perhaps motivated by watching his fellow countrymen practice on NBA TV yesterday or simply itching to get back on the floor, it seems James will take part in basketball activities upon his Las Vegas arrival. He plans on leading the Cavs back there in June, and he may not wish to put the added strain of an Olympic schedule (in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) on his body.

“Ive given everything to the National Basketball Association. “I’ve given it all to USAB as well”.

James was not at a team meeting Monday night in advance of Tuesday’s first on-court workout, but he will satisfy Colangelo’s eligibility requirements for the 2016 Olympic squad as long as he makes an appearance in Las Vegas during USA Basketball’s three-day minicamp on the campus of UNLV. If Im fortunate enough, if Im healthy enough and my family is willing to allow me be a part of it, itd be great…. I was really happy for him when he joined us originally.

Many National Basketball Association superstars are also set to be on the roster including James Harden, Dwight Howard, LeBron James, Chris Paul, and Russell Westbrook among others. James was initially expected to sit out all of August’s minicamp for Team USA, but now he is reportedly “seriously contemplating” joining Wednesday’s practice. Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Durant and Steph Curry all will not participate fully.
