LeBron James Would Love to Have Superstar Teamates

James said that he has “hope” that the group could play together one day later in his career.

We already know Wade isn’t going anywhere, and James certainly enjoys hanging out in South Florida, so would a reunion in Miami realistically be the only destination for such a collaboration? “But, I mean, if you got an opportunity to work with three of your best friends [you take it], no matter what”. It’s about being around guys that you don’t even have to say nothing, you automatically know. For me, I’m focused on my teammates in here. So as cool as the headlines are, it has nothing to do with what we’re trying to do in here. “I ain’t jumping in that”.

Dreaming doesn’t hurt though, and that’s all this scenario really is.

Anthony is good friends with James, so of course he agrees with the Cavs star and is also willing to take less money for it happen.

On most nights, Anthony has seen his time in NY turn into a nightmare, an injury-plagued 17-win season in 2014-15, and now likely facing a third straight out of the playoffs.

The Cavaliers star said that he would consider taking a “pay cut” to help make things happen, although he didn’t give any specifics. There was a row over former head coach Derek Fisher’s dismissal in February and Anthony had to bear all the brunt of the entire turmoil with the Knicks.

“I wanted to stay in Denver”, Anthony said. “By that time. That’s later”. And I feel like, I don’t know, maybe it’s just me, if I just get up and run away from something that I started, that I feel a part of and that’s not done yet, then I think I would carry that burden on my shoulders.

That should comfort Cleveland fans, who have been anxious about losing James ever since reading the quotes and seeing so much recent drama surround the team. According to the story, James and Wade are purchasing homes there, too. Just imagine the possibilities of a super team like that.

First of all, there are several reasons why it’s unlikely this dream team would have the type of success Wade, Paul, LeBron and Carmelo would need in order to make a pay cut worthwhile: They’re all on the wrong side of 30, in various stages of decline, with skill-sets that don’t lend themselves for a natural fit. Still, it’s fun to discuss and that’s why it has captured the attention of the basketball world for the last 24 hours.
