LeBron shoots down Warriors report as ‘nonsense
“The story needs to be: LeBron is focused on getting his team back to the Finals”.

James, who nearly certainly will become an unrestricted free agent this summer, said Friday that the story by ESPN’s Chris Haynes was “nonsense” and claims he’ll handle his free agency at the appropriate time, a.k.a. this summer after the season.
If nothing else, the report may be another indication of the larger rumors surrounding James over the past few months – he may be on his way out of Cleveland this summer.
The Spurs will likely have enough cap space to sign James to a maximum salary deal.
ESPN reporter Chris Haynes caused a minor meltdown on Twitter Thursday when he wrote that LeBron James would be willing to sit down with the Golden State Warriors this summer as he explores free agency, citing “league sources”. However, it will be a question mark if Durant would agree to another pay cut. Could be worth it in the short term.
No previous reports had seriously suggested Golden State as a legitimate destination for James.
Most of all, the Cavs are slowly but surely becoming a zombie before our eyes, and if there’s one thing we all know about LeBron, it’s that he’s not going to roll with that.
This would include a sign-and-trade with Cleveland to send James to the Warriors in exchange for Klay Thompson, Andre Iguodala and Shaun Livingston, according to Bleacher Report.
“He’s done something similar before”, you say. That was a case of three friends coming together and building their own “superteam”.
“The Golden State conversation is a non-story”, James said. “When he went to Miami, there was a sure thing”.
Doesn’t get much stronger than that.
Maybe he’s sick of playing with aging veterans who are past their prime. His relationship with Cavs owner Dan Gilbert is also frosty. Maybe he’s sick of having all the burden and expectations placed on his broad shoulders. “Just tons of people who they probably couldn’t name another basketball player, but they know LeBron James”, Jenkins continued. It wouldn’t be ridiculous if LeBron had that same yearning. The James-Warriors story was, of course, a huge story for its implications.

Yes, you read that right. Still unlikely for more than just the financial reason, but a much more likely possibility than the Warriors.
