Nintendo confirmed that Twilight Princess would be getting the HD treatment, as well as its own amiibo figure. You can pre-order the game starting today, and pre-orders will receive the soundtrack as a bonus. The game is compatible with the new Wolf Link Amiibo, as well as other Zelda series Amiibos. It was also noted that any progress saved on the Wolf Link Amiibo from Twilight Princess HD can be transferred to the upcoming Zelda Wii U game that is slated for a 2016 release. The livestream will provide gamers with updates on the upcoming games for the Wii U and the 3DS.

The port is supported by a new Amiibo – Wolf Link. It’s probably got the biggest world of any Legend of Zelda game, at least until Zelda Wii U comes out, and it has what I’d call the ideal controls-some motion controls, but not quite as much as Skyward Sword. While we were hoping for more level-creation options, we’re pretty antsy to finally get a more portable and workable way to browse through so many levels-though Trinen didn’t confirm whether creators will be able to create and share custom URLs for their creations to be shared.

Nintendo Direct, the company’s video announcement of the latest games and news, returns Thursday, but it will be a bittersweet moment for fans.

The game has been awarded a “7” rating, like all other console versions of Mojang‘s endlessly popular sandbox game. Fortune reports that DeNa CEO Isao Moriyasu said at an earnings briefing this week that all five games with Nintendo are already in the pipeline and they will all be free so Nintendo fans should expect better and free-er games to come out from the Nintendo and DeNa partnership. The ballot closed on October 2, and now would be the most obvious time for Nintendo to report on the results and announce what character(s) it plans to add to the game next. A simple mode will also be available, making the game more resemble traditional, non-Mario Tennis (but who wants that?).

Could it be additional DLC for Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U and 3DS? The game will be launched as two separate titles: Fire Emblem Fates Birthright and Fire Emblem Fates Conquest. That includes Tetra, Toon Link, and King of Hyrule from The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker and the Skull Kid from The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask.
