“Garry Marshall gave me one of the best experiences I ever had in my career”, actor Jason Alexander tweeted.

“It was an honour, and a delight, for all of us who had the pleasure of serving alongside of him”, Barclay said.

Henry Winkler begins his tribute by giving Garry Marshall full responsibility for the career he eventually built, which surely represents how humble the Happy Days actor is at heart. He started his career in the early 1960s writing for variety programs like “The Jack Paar Tonight Show” and “The Joey Bishop Show” as well as classic sitcoms including “Make Room for Daddy“, “The Lucy Show” and “The Dick Van Dyke Show“.

GARRY MARSHALL Rest In Peace.

According to a report by the AP, Marshall, a NY native, once explained in a 1980s interview, that he relied on comedy when he was growing up in the Bronx.

Marshall is also responsible for directing some of the most famous movies of all-time.

Director Garry Marshall arrives as a guest at the 19th Annual ELLE Women in Hollywood dinner in Beverly Hills, California, Oct. 15, 2012. “Happy Days” became one of the biggest hits on TV with millions tuning in each week to watch the Cunninghams and friends.

If you had to live on a deserted island, you could do far worse than to take the work of Hollywood legend Garry Marshall along to keep you company.

Sadly Garry Marshall has left behind his wife Barbara (the couple were together for over 50 years) and three children.

Marshall had a major impact on many lives in the TV industry. Four years later, however, the pair scored a huge hit with their adaptation of Neil Simon’s play, “The Odd Couple“.

“He truly was an inspiration, a kind soul and a loving person”, Hart said, noting that Marshall once acted in a short film she directed.

“I am devastated to hear of Garry’s passing”.
