Legion’s first content patch, Return to Karazhan, announced
During a Gamescom stream, Blizzard announced that shortly after World of Warcraft: Legion releases on August 30th, the developer will release Patch 7.1 which will be a substantial content update.

The patch will also contain some outdoor content.
First, and most excitingly, Blizzard revealed a new dungeon based on the popular Burning Crusade 10-manraid Karazhan, with the new content being dubbed “Return to Karazhan”.
Blizzard has also detailed the Return To Karazhan.
If you have a soft spot in your heart for the original Tower of Karazhan, Blizzard’s leaving it around for you to farm XP and items. All 9 raid bosses will still be included in the five-man version, making it the largest dungeon World of Warcraft has seen in quite some time.
Patch 7.1 content also includes new Suramar quests and world content.
In addition to detailing Patch 7.1 on the stream, Hazzikostas answered a few questions regarding the future of World of Warcraft and its development. World of Warcraft: Cataclysm completely shook up novice zones and legendary vanilla-era locales, and now, ahead of the release of World of Warcraft: Legion, Blizzard has already announced a future patch that will do the same to one of the most iconic areas in the history of the Warcraft universe.
Karazhan is to be important to Legion’s story, which makes sense as it was the home of the former Guardian of Tirisfal and overall arcane badass, Medivh, who had some run ins with demons from the Burning Legion. During the livestream, developers admitted that they were wrong to temporarily shift their focus to cranking out expansions faster; as a result, recent expansions were lighter on content compared to their forebears.

It looks like Blizzard is on their grind. 13 months is 4-5 months more than the usual wait between expansions, an outrageous wait according to most fans.
