Toys-to-life video game LEGO Dimensions is about to dive head first into the time vortex as Doctor Who makes its debut in the launch of the second wave of add-on packs.
What’s more, once the level is complete, there’s still an entire free-roaming Doctor Who world to explore – it’s a giant Doctor Who toy chest complete with six different worlds to explore; not to mention a few of his contemporary allies and enemies to meet and, of course, a hefty dose of nostalgia. With the 12th Doctor you can unlock playable versions of 11 other Doctors for the ultimate Dr Who experience. It requires the LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack to play. The Krusty the Clown fun pack will include a Krusty minifigure.
Fans of The Simpsons can grab the fun packs featuring either Bart Simpson and Krusty the Clown. The vehicle is the Gravity Sprinter that can also be turned into the Street Shredder and the Sky Clobberer. You’ll also be given the chance to use his special Growth and Hazard Cleaner abilities and drive his Clown Bike that can be rebuilt into a Cannon Bike and Anti-Gravity Rocket Bike.
Players wanting to bring a hop, skip and a dance to the insane mash-up multiverse of LEGO Dimensions can add The LEGO Movie Fun Pack with the Unikitty LEGO minifigure. Her Cloud Cuckoo vehicle can be rebuilt it into the X-Stream Soaker and Rainbow Cannon for upgraded in-game powers.
The news comes alongside the release of Wave 2 Level, Team and Fun packs based on Doctor Who, Ninjago, The Simpsons and The LEGO Movie. Expansion pack characters can also unlock the corresponding Adventure World of the same brand, which offers players additional open-world gameplay content.
