Lehigh Valley Weather: A wet and dreary day

The National Weather Service reports temperatures may dip into into the high-30s in Western Massachusetts.

Skies will be mostly clear Wednesday night as temperatures drop to a low of about 25. In fact, should see high temperatures of at least 50 degrees by Sunday.

Newark’s November average this year was 60.4 degrees for its high and 43.7 degrees for its low, which averages out to 52.0 – slightly more than 5 degrees above the normal average for the month. Wednesday night will bring a low of about 39 degrees.

Weekend Outlook: Mostly sunny both Saturday and Sunday, with highs in the low 50s. West southwest winds could reach speeds up to 21 miles per hour.

Thursday night – A chance of rain and snow showers before 10pm, then a chance of snow showers between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m. Cloudy, with a low around 31.

After that, the region is expected to stay dry through Saturday, with highs in the 40s.

Forecasters wrote around 7 a.m. that gusting winds could become a problem Thursday afternoon, although it was still possible conditions could change. Freezing temperatures are possible over portions of the Southwest during the early part of Monday. It will be clear Thursday night with a low of 30.
