Leicester boss Ranieri bouncing after another comeback thriller

Claudio Ranieri has revealed that he plans to heavily rotate his Leicester City squad for the League Cup meeting with West Ham United. They are maybe waiting for something more – wine, cheese… I’m a very lucky man because I can pick from 25 players.

“But we don’t want to have to keep doing that for the rest of the season”.

“But it’s nice knowing we have it in our locker to come back from behind”.

Leicester saw off Bury 4-1 in their first outing of the competition last month and face a West Ham side buoyed by recent away victories over Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City.

“We have a good history in the cup”.

“After the Aston Villa game we realised we were close to some type of record”, Morgan added. It’s good that we’re still unbeaten. Lose the match, but show our strength and show our pride.

Bojan put Stoke ahead when he got on the end of a superb through ball from Marko Arnautovic and Jonathan Walters doubled the lead when he latched on to a weak backpass from Morgan.

Leicester recovered in the second half to draw level with goals from Riyad Mahrez [penalty] and Jamie Vardy sealing the deal for the 2-2 draw.

He made his Barclays Premier League debut as a 71st-minute substitute at Bournemouth four days later. We must concentrate. We started well, but there were mistakes and they scored.

“I think he has a very good future”, said Ranieri.

A smiling Ranieri also took the opportunity to point out that Martial had been quite a shrewd acquisition by his former club. Subs: Schwarzer, Simpson, Kramaric, Benalouane.
