If Arsenal can tempt Leicester into a sale in the New Year it would be a tremendous coup for Arsene Wenger’s side, potentially providing them with the catalyst to beat the Foxes and Manchester City to the Premier League title.
Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez have been the stars of the show, boasting 28 league goals between them, while the likes of N’Golo Kante and Kasper Schmeichel have also impressed.
However, City have extended their winless run on the road in the league to six games, something they last endured in April 2011.
“We are starting now to build our team”.
Leicester City, coming off only their second loss of the season, a 0-1 away defeat to Liverpool on Boxing Day, looked impressive, containing the offensive firepower of Manchester City, who now sit in third place with 36 points.
They trail the top two teams by three points. “We are still there, at the top part of the table”, said Otamendi.
“We’ve had a fantastic half-season, it’s unbelievable what we are doing and we must continue”.
Vardy’s 11 consecutive Premier League matches with a goal broke former Manchester United and Holland striker Ruud van Nistelrooy’s record of 10, a feat that has caught the attention of many across the footballing world.
“We have a season and it’s important to have the amount of points you need to win the title. We are a little disappointed we didn’t make the most of our chances but 0-0 against Man City is a result to be proud of”.
“Recently myself and Mangala have played together and we always focus on that clean sheet”.
“There was a lot of people looking at the Manchester City game and might have thought we would have fallen off after being beaten [at Liverpool]”. I told my players we are at the basement but the other sides are a villa with swimming pool and everything.

Wenger has kept an eye on in form Mahrez, who is two goals back from the top spot on the Premier League goal scoring chart after scoring 13 goals in 17 appearances in league play. We have played everyone now and we have showed we are more than capable of playing up there with the best of them.
