With three games remaining, Tottenham are now seven points behind leaders Leicester City, who will be able to clinch the title with a win at Manchester United on Sunday.

Although Tottenham controlled the first half at White Hart Lane and led 1-0 at the interval, they were punished for a lack of ruthlessness in the second period, when a header from Craig Dawson, cancelling out his earlier own goal, ensured the spoils were shared.

Cape Town – West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis was happy with the performance of his side in their 1-1 draw against Tottenham away at White Hart Lane on Monday night.

Fletcher believes the ability to grind out results when not performing at their best is a mark of title-winning sides and he feels that is something Spurs still need to learn.

“The fans have been unbelievable this season, even at the start when we weren’t second or third, they have supported us throughout”, the Belgian defender said. It is football. All we can do is keep fighting. All the big clubs, we played well — Arsenal is the only ground at which we have been disappointing at. But I think we deserved the three points.

“Mathematically it is still possible”, he said.

“We needed to kill the game, we hit the post in three situations and it can happen that you can concede. But we need to still believe and keep fighting and be ready for the next game and hope Leicester drop points”. “So, it was important they had a go tonight”.

“We were very fortunate to be around such people”. Seven points is hard but we still need to fight in the next three games.

“This is a Tottenham team with the youngest average age in the Premier League, a team that’s not been anywhere near this before”, Souness told Sky Sports.

Leicester need only three points from their three remaining matches to be crowned champions, meaning Claudio Ranieri’s men can complete their fairytale season with a win at Manchester United on Sunday. “Hopefully, Man United can do us a favor”, Kane said.

“We’re becoming a very good team and teams below us or teams at the other end of the table want to come here and get a result, get a point”.

“At no time during that second half are you watching as a Tottenham supporter saying, ‘we look like scoring, we’re bossing the ball'”.
