Leicester City v Arsenal

What we achieved previous year is because of the team.

Arsenal come into this one under the spotlight.

But Pundits have been convinced that Leicester City’s 2015-16 season was a one-off and pounced after its 2-1 loss at Hull City on opening day.

Michael Owen is predicting a high-scoring game between Leicester City and Arsenal at King Power Stadium on Saturday evening.

“I’m happy to continue the adventure with Leicester City”, he told the club’s official TV channel.

The 25-year-old joined Leicester in January 2014 and established himself as one of the key players in the squad during the 2015-16 season, playing a huge role in the club’s unexpected run toward the Premier League title.

Adding to the drama will be the appearance of Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez, both of whom have now signed new contracts this summer to end protracted transfer sagas in which they turned down the Gunners’ advances. In two-and-a-half-years, Mahrez has become an integral part of the club and of the Algeria national team.

‘Our football is a lot of energy, so if we keep all the players, all the mentality, I think we can do some good things this year as well.

Now that Mahrez has signed a new deal, that theoretically secures his Leicester future.

If Mahrez, arguably the top player in the team, decides to stick with Leicester City, others will likely follow. Schlupp wants to play more regularly having made only 14 Premier League starts last season.

– Arsenal have never lost a Premier League game at the King Power Stadium, drawing three and winning 5-2 there last season. The Foxes are in the Champions League and thanks to this new contract, Mahrez will be getting paid big wages. The two latest setbacks increased their injury list to seven players and Arsenal could have up to ten players out here, including the trio who returned late from the Euros.

The England global is in talks with the Foxes to extend his deal and follow a host of key names in pledging their future to the Premier League champions.
