Leicester count cost of success ahead of Chelsea visit

Antonio Conte has quashed speculation he could be on his way out of Stamford Bridge.

Speculation over Conte’s future briefly flared prior to the global break, with Abramovich a regular visitor to Cobham in the week after damaging defeats to top-four rivals Liverpool and Arsenal to observe training and discuss the team’s issues with his head coach. I take it with a smile.

Just seven league games into Conte’s Chelsea reign, several betting companies closed the book on the Italian being axed on Thursday afternoon. “This type of player, who puts the team before himself, I like a lot”.

“But it is hard to talk about this situation”. I’m focused about my work.

Conte has shown what he can do, given time, with the Juventus and Italy teams and it would seem extremely premature for Chelsea to let go of their manager.

“[Double sessions] That’s the way he wants to train, that’s his style, that’s his way that he thinks we can win and that he thinks can get Chelsea back to where they belong”.

‘Pressure is a part of our job.

Leicester City took four points off Chelsea on their way to the Premier League title last season, but the Foxes go into Saturday’s game at Stamford Bridge as the underdogs. “Sometimes at Chelsea we don’t play with system with a No. 10, too”.

However, after winning the first three matches, Chelsea suffered a dip in form, where they lost to Liverpool and Arsenal.

They’ve met three times in the last season and Chelsea and Leicester both recorded victories, while one game ended in a 1-1 draw.

Unlike in our League Cup meeting, former Leicester lynchpin N’Golo Kanté will be expected to play in this one.

“Then with Manchester United they are another great team, but in this moment we must think about ourselves and not the other team”. “But this situation was before with the Hull City game”.

Conte said: “John is available because he came back in training sessions in the middle of the week, to have the whole training session”. Chelsea may not be title contenders, he adds, but most teams in the Premier League have “sussed” Leicester out.
