Leicester in talks with Hannover goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler
“Ron-Robert Zieler has made use of an option in his contract and informed Hannover that he will travel to English champions Leicester City for contract talks”, the statement read.

The Hannover keeper, who made more saves than any other keeper in the top European leagues next season, would be a fantastic signing by Leicester – who are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of next season’s Champions League challenge.
But the Premier League winners have stolen a march on interested parties and Zieler is travelling to the East Midlands for talks over a move to join Ranieri’s men, before a potential medical.
Zieler had a release clause inserted into his contract, which has been activated by their recent relegation from the Bundesliga.
Leicester are in discussions to sign Hannover 96 goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler, according to Sky sources.
“We wish him all the best for the future. Ron will always be welcome back at Hannover”.
Leicester’s current number 1 is Kasper Schmeichel and Zieler may have his work cut out dislodging the Dane from the starting line-up.
Zieler, who acts as an understudy to Manuel Neuer in the German national team, is due in England this week to complete a medical.

Cologne-born Zieler will be returning to England having spent two years as a trainee at Manchester United, plus a loan spell at Northampton Town.
