Thousands celebrated and millions around the world watched in wonder as 5,000-1 underdogs Leicester City completed arguably the greatest fairytale in sporting history by becoming English Premier League champions.

Second-placed Tottenham Hotspur’s 2-2 draw with Chelsea late on Monday was enough for last year’s relegation battlers to seal a scarcely credible title after outshining some of football’s most glamorous teams.

“Big money makes big teams and usually big teams win. They deserve to be champions”.

He said: “They’ve got very wealthy owners there, I’m sure they’ll strengthen and they’ll make sure that people there are looked after and they’ll keep the players. So selling players is not on our agenda”. “I’ve received letters from Paraguay, Uruguay, Brazil – everywhere ‘Leicester, Leicester, what a legend.’ Everyone knows the Premier League”.

On Monday, when Tottenham’s failed to beat Chelsea, the club pulled off the remarkable feat of winning the Premier League title for the first time.

Aiyawatt said the trophy will be tied with yellow ribbons in honour of His Majesty the King.

But former Chelsea manager Ranieri said he would not pay big transfer fees despite the extra demands facing Leicester, who will play in their first Champions League campaign next term. And they say “Vardy”. “It’s a massive, wonderful season for them”.

Although Leicester’s victory was only confirmed on Monday night, Betfred owner Fred Done had already chose to pay out to customers who had backed the team weeks earlier.

“So I told them we are like the RAF (Royal Air Force)”. “I’m so proud”, Leicester manager Ranieri said in comments published on the website of the club he joined in 2015.

Only seven seasons ago, the Foxes were playing against Southend United in a League One match at Roots Hall, but the club has since undergone a meteoric rise to surpass the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal.

Asked to pinpoint when he really became convinced Leicester could win, he said: “It was at Christmas”.

“The emotion was at the maximum level”, Ranieri, who was sacked from his last job with Greece in 2014, said before training.

However, Hiddink eventually made a decision to accept Roman Abramovich’s offer to serve as Chelsea’s interim manager after Jose Mourinho was sacked in December, leading the club for the second half of the season as the club conducted a search for its permanent manager.

Prior to Leicester, there had not been a first-time top-flight champion in England since Nottingham Forest in 1977-78. They play with the heart and soul, they play as 11. It was a long night celebrating.

“We did not think that was suitable”.

This season is out of our project but of course now our foundations are very strong. We all linked very well together. “Now I am an old man I can feel it much better”. I’m a pragmatic man, I just wanted to win match after match and help my players to improve week after week. For us it is important to stay in 10th position and try to fight to go into Europe.

The onus is on Tottenham Hotspur to claim an away win that will maintain their hopes of delivering the English title to White Hart Lane for the first time in 55 years
