Claudio Ranieri’s surprise table-toppers made their most resounding statement of intent to date on Saturday, when they ruthlessly dismissed title rivals Manchester City 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium.

Leicester City legend Gary Lineker has stated that Arsenal have signed the wrong scout from the Foxes. Riyad Mahrez and N’Golo Kante – who have both arrived in the last 13 months – have been among the stand-out performers which have the club dreaming of the league title.

Mahrez has been touted as many as this season’s player of the year, while Vardy is leading the goalscoring charts.

“I think it’s absolutely fantastic and I can see it lasting”, said Dickov, who also featured for Arsenal and Manchester City during a 21-year playing career.

Of course stats such as these mean very little but, with Arsenal’s record with Atkinson in charge taken into account, surely Wenger’s hoodoo over Ranieri will do something to calm the concerns of Gooners as they look to what is surely a must win at the Emirates this weekend. I love how Arsenal nicked the wrong scout.

If the Leicester match and the Man City v Spurs clash goes the right way then the weekend will end with us in second spot, two points behind Leicester, two ahead of the spuds and three ahead of Man City. In fact, he is the head of the technical scouting committee at Leicester. After nearly four years with the club, overseeing the players the club brought in to help them secure promotion to the Premier League and now top the table, Wrigglesworth will now help the Gunners as a first-team video scout.

“Asked by The Guardian to name his team of the season in the Premier League, Lineker said: “[Christian] Fuchs, for sure.

“I only wish the best for Leicester in the future, and will be eternally grateful to them for getting me to where I am”. “In an era when money counts for everything, I think we give hope to everybody”.
