Leicester: Ranieri expecting Foxes to deliver

Top scorer Vardy was dismissed against West Ham United last time out and will miss Sunday’s meeting with the Swans, meaning Ulloa could well be involved at the King Power Stadium.

True enough, three in the form of Riyad Mahrez, Leonardo Ulloa and Marc Albrighton delivered yesterday despite the fact that it was Swansea who did most of the attacking.

“I talked to my players before the match and I said: ‘We had a dream so far – now make a dream reality”, said Ranieri.

With Vardy sidelined, Merse is tipping Swansea – who have little left to play for after securing their top flight status for another year – to come away with a 1-1 draw which would open the door for Tottenham. “I don’t think you can compare the teams, but, camaraderie-wise, we do probably have similarities”.

“I asked for this kind of performance – ‘Be hungry, be solid, press a lot.’ We knew they keep possession of the ball very well and we were so concentrated and Ulloa made some fantastic goals”.

Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri has admitted that his team need a new strategy against Swansea City without suspended star man Jamie Vardy.

“This was an important win because everybody wanted our answer without Vardy – and that was a fantastic answer”, added Ranieri. “It was a hard game and now we have three games to go and we’re all working for each other”.

Playmaker Riyad Mahrez – a contender for Sunday evening’s PFA Player of the Season award – intercepted a poor pass early in the first half, shimmying past his marker before finishing low at the near post.

The England worldwide accepted the charge and will now miss the Foxes’ next two matches. Sometimes I score, sometimes Vardy scores and sometimes Leo scores but we are a team. If Tottenham loses Monday, Leicester can clinch the title win with a win at Manchester United next Sunday. I am very happy for him.

Swansea boss Francesco Guidolin watched his side capitulate after captain Ashley Williams’ mistake gifted Mahrez a 10th-minute opener. I continued to buy people during the first Premier League matches.

Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard, meanwhile, has revealed that the Stamford Bridge club are keen to help Leicester win the league ahead of their London rivals.

Petr Cech and the crossbar denied Sunderland a priceless Barclays Premier League victory, as Arsenal failed to reclaim third place from Manchester City.

Claudio Ranieri shed his coy and cautious demeanor on Friday to flaunt his euphoria about Leicester being on the brink of the Premier League title in the most stunning season in the club’s 132-year history.
