Leicester’s title charge stymied by WBA
Leicester’s charge at the top of the Barclays Premier League was stalled by West Brom, who battled to a 2-2 draw at the King Power Stadium.

With their Premier League rivals not in action until Wednesday, the Foxes have the chance to open up a five-point lead over second-placed Tottenham Hotspur and go eight points clear of Arsenal in third place.
Leicester, 5,000-1 rank outsiders at the start of the season, have been top of the league for nearly six weeks and Pulis turned his post-match press conference into a long eulogy about their season.
Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri says he is satisfied with his team’s performance despite a draw against West Brom.
Leicester hadn’t conceded at home in 2016 until Rondon ran onto Darren Fletcher’s through-ball, shoulder-barged Robert Huth to the ground, and slipped a finish between goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel’s legs.
West Brom set their stall out early on, sitting deep and inviting Leicester to break them down.
They squandered an opportunity to take the lead moments later when Drinkwater got to the byline and his deflected cross sat up for Vardy, who headed against the bar.
Leicester host West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday and Ranieri expects a tough task, highlighting the Baggies’ “dangerous” counter-attacking credentials.
In the 56th minute, Albrighton tormented Albion right-back Craig Dawson to clip in a wonderful cross that Shinji Okazaki crashed on to the crossbar. This is the last chance of the game, and Ulloa glances it wide!
It’s a fantastic point for us, but now the game’s over, I just hope Leicester City win the league.
“We are the surprise, that is fantastic, a good energy, but if we are realistic the real competitors are Manchester City, Arsenal and Tottenham”.
“You could go through everybody, they’ve really played exceptionally well this year, all of them”. We played much better than against Norwich (on Saturday).
“I am satisfied with the performance”.
“We believe in ourselves”.
But he claimed the number of chances they created filled him not with disappointment but renewed hope for the remaining 10 games of the campaign. “Only the victory was missing”. We were resolute in defence and we’ve done well.
“Yes, of course. They have the players who can do everything”.
Ranieri even appeared to admit it, saying: “Everybody is speaking about Leicester and nobody is speaking about Tottenham”.

“I have only seen it from a distance so we will wait until the specialist makes an assessment and then we will let people know”.
