Leicester set to do the unthinkable…”win the league”
The Barclays Premier League will see no repeat of Leicester’s “perfect” title march next season, according to Southampton boss Ronald Koeman. On paper, pundits expected that they would be the first club back to the Championship while bookmakers were happy to take monies from those who taught Leicester will even survive the drop.

Another added, “Ranieri has brought a type of football into Leicester that is really, really good”.
Leicester City’s Danny Drinkwater will not face further disciplinary action after being sent off in the Premier League leaders’ 1-1 draw with Manchester United on Sunday.
“I am very sad because he will miss the next game at home”, said Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri of Drinkwater.
“Everyone knows it has to be flawless to win the title in the Premier League”, said Koeman.
“It is important to finish the story like an American movie”.
But last season’s relegation-battlers now only need two points from their last two matches to snatch the title.
The Foxes could secure the Premier League title with a win at Old Trafford.
Leicester’s vocal fans stayed behind after the final whistle, chanting “Tottenham Hotspur, we’re waiting for you”, and “Are you watching, Tottenham?” The organisation is ideal, a show for the fans and for television, and the support of the people is impressive: “all the stadiums are always full, in any competition”, Pellegrini continued. Although Louis van Gaal’s side were able to postpone Leicester’ hopes of clinching the trophy at the Old Trafford, their chances of qualifying for the next year’s Champions League still remain under shadow.
“I think we have to beat them because we are still in the race for fourth position”, the Dutchman said.
“Early on this season you’ve got the draws at Stoke and Southampton, we were 2-0 down in both of them, and 2-0 down in the home game against Villa [which Leicester went on to win 3-2]”. On top of that, they now have a Champions League campaign to look forward to.

But United started the match determined to spoil the party, playing with verve and freedom and looking nothing like the side that has appeared shackled in attack so often this season.
