Len Goodman Is Returning To Judge Dancing With The Stars Next Season

Len’s comments came shortly after Jamelia appeared on Loose Women on Tuesday, during which she claimed Peter’s standing ovation was deliberately faked.

“Len will not be returning as a judge this season on “Dancing With the Stars” due to his schedule as a judge on “Strictly Come Dancing” in the United Kingdom and the birth of his new grandson”, the EP said in a statement to People magazine, adding that Len might be involved in the season “at some capacity”. We’ve all got opinions.

But speaking on spin-off show It Takes Two on Wednesday night Len – who admitted he would have saved Jamelia and Tristan MacManus on Sunday night’s show – was determined to set the record straight.

‘I have watched it back and I did think Peter danced a little bit better…so I can well understand that. I thought his kicks and flicks were a little bit sharper, so I can well understand why the other judges went for Peter, and I still felt Jamelia in that dance-off was a little bit better. That usually makes the show rushed, as there really isn’t time for four opinions on each dance. It is style, I like Brussels sprouts, you do not, ‘ he told presenter Zoe Ball.

Strictly Come Dancing airs this Saturday and Sunday night on BBC One.

While he is the toughest judge on the panel that also includes Julianne Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli, he also might be the most beloved, with a “ten from Len” being the highest praise you can receive on the show.

A Strictly spokesman confirmed Andre was given a standing ovation by the audience and that the one Jamelia saw being recorded was used for “bridging purposes, to ensure continuity on the show”.

She said: “The honest thing is he didn’t [get one]”.

But in a taped message shown on DWTS, he said: “I’ve been watching the show from the United Kingdom, and I must say everyone has been doing a fantastic job”.

However, Jamelia isn’t the first contestant to claim that the show is fixed.
