Lena Dunham, America Ferrera slam Donald Trump in DNC speech
Other celebrity highlights on the convention stage Tuesday include Meryl Streep, “Scandal” co-star Tony Goldwyn, “Girls” creator Dunham and “Superstore” actress America Ferrera.

They ripped Trump for dividing America as both actresses talked about immigration, sexual assault, and a whole host of other issues they believe Clinton would be much better on. “Whereas 22 years ago, Hillary Clinton declared that womens’ rights are human rights”.
“Donald’s not making America great again”, said Ferrera. “The vast majority of us can not afford to see his vision of America come to be”.
Keen to throw a spotlight on potential threats posed by Trump, they warned that the billionaire real estate mogul “wants to take our country back to a time when fear excused violence, when greed fuelled discrimination, and when the state wrote prejudice against marginalized communities into law”.
Hollywood stars including Bryan Cranston, Julianne Moore, and Kerry Washington have joined together to encourage Americans to stop controversial candidate Donald Trump from becoming the next president. They dropped dove into a discussion of reproductive rights and equal pay for equal work, but the mood was kept fairly light and aimed pointedly at their Republican nominee target.
“We know what you’re all thinking”.
Dunham stated that Clinton protects the victims of sexual assault.
“Luckily, we the voters carry the future of this country”.
AF: So to everyone here tonight, and out there watching at home, here is your chance to join team Hillary.
“As Hillary Clinton says: deal us in”.
Ferrera spoke to “the vast majority” of Americans-women, immigrants, minorities, and all the decent men and women who value equality and fairness. “And yet we only make up 19.4 percent of congress?”

Lena: Which is why we’re proud to say, “we’re with Hillary!” Let’s forcefully reject division.
