Lena Dunham Compares Reading Gawker, Jezebel to Enduring Domestic Abuse (Audio)
While Twitter may be off limits for Lena, she hasn’t quite given up on Instagram – yet. They demonstrate why she is a poster child for Hillary Youth.

Actress and director Lena Dunham interviewed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton for her new online newsletter lennyletter.com, which is set to launch on Tuesday, according to reports. Up to date: 23:09 EST, 29 September 2015 Lena Dunham has confirmed in that the sixth season of her hit show Girls would be the last.
What I did not want to know is whether Hillary Clinton had seen Lenny Kravitz’s junk when his trousers split during a concert. Dunham and Konner are also the creators of the TV series “Girls”. Her arms are crossed, which gives her shoulder to the viewer.
The decision came partly due to the “verbal abuse” and body-shaming comments she received after posting a photo on Instagam of her wearing just a sports bra and her boyfriend’s boxers.
Dunham also said in the interview that she no longer reads the websites Gawker or Jezebel, likening them to an abusive relationship.
Clinton talked about the need for better police training, for officers to be held to a higher standard, and for “constant dialogue between communities and their police officers”.
Dunham would have preferred a less measured response.
“Holding up a photo, she says: “Well, this is me at one of my favorite places in college, which was the lake that we had on campus. I think we have a lot of work to do”.
In moments such as these, Dunham’s (and Clinton’s) starfucking side undercut any pretension to reaching the average man or woman.
“I noticed that a few of them didn’t look really healthy to me”, she said.
If this sounds like fare you might read in many women’s magazines, Dunham wants to make clear that Lenny is trying to avoid thinking of her readers as a monolith audience.
Well, it’s very, very disheartening, because as somebody who did live through the civil-rights revolution, saw the legislation passed that really began to legally end Jim Crow, segregation – all the vestiges that we still live with, it’s very discouraging. However, sometimes the internet can be The Worst.
Lena Dunham is the flawless interviewer for the much beleaguered Democrat presidential front-runner. The newsletter offers subscribers a weekly dose of feminism in an effort to increase young women’s political engagement.
Clinton went to law school, where she met Bill. “It’s part of being female; we contain multitudes”. Dunham asks Clinton about a shoulderless dress from her Arkansas days, and Clinton name-drops Donna Karan.

Dunham admits being exposed to so much negativity via social media impacted her deeply, so she chose to stop tweeting first-hand.
