Lena Dunham shared some inspiring bikini selfies on her Instagram Wednesday, sure to help anyone that’s felt self-conscious about a scar or two.

Wearing leopard print bottoms and a black frilly top, make-up free Lena took a selfie of herself looking in the mirror.

“When the Target swimsuit does a b– right, Endo scars & all”, she posted, clearing loving the way the mismatched two-piece looked on her. In February, Dunham’s pain ultimately affected her ability to do her job ― something so many women suffering from endometriosis can relate to.

The actress, 30, opened up about her battle with the chronic gynaecological condition in her Lenny Letter email newsletter late previous year (15), when she revealed she would often work through the pain instead of halt production on Girls. Do you like that she is so body positive on social media? “I’d like to thank my ovaries … even though you’ve acted pretty b– and weird the past few years”.

‘What about teenagers who are still forming their identities, and for whom cyber-abuse is an absolute threat to their mental health?’

She successfully underwent surgery for the condition last November.

‘It turned into the most rabid, disgusting comments about my body, and my Instagram page was somehow the hub for misogynists for the afternoon, ‘ said Dunham, who said she now has another person administer her account, which boasts almost five million followers.
